Music from the 17th and 18th centuries
played on historical organs in Sweden

Naoko Imai, Tokyo

In the Swedish rural areas there are many old organs, which are maintained fairly intact or which have recently been carefully restored and therefore can transmit an authentic sound in music from earlier epochs.

This CD gives a presentation of 17th and 18th century organs at Skokloster, Morlanda, Tjällmo, Leufstabruk, Jonsered, Yttergran and Börstil, in carefully selected pieces by S. Scheidt, Scheidemann, J. Krieger, J.S. Bach, W.Fr. Bach, W.A. Mozart and J.G. Krebs.
